A brief description of the character: In a house where the only sound that can be heard is that of bickering voices, Sarah has learned to keep silent in order to not add to the shouting that already fills the air. Sarah barely remembers her mother, Rebecca McCain-Ellis, who died in a car wreck when Sarah was barely five years old, but the few memories that she still has she clings to desperately since those are hopes of happier days in her life, when her father was still happy, when Sarah still spoke her mind, and before either of them had to put up with the woman that she had been told when she was seven would be her new Mom.
But those times are far behind her, and now, perpetual silence and mindless obedience seem to be the states in which this promising and brilliant girl is stuck. Even when she's away from the shouting, the disapproval, and the blame, Sarah closes in on herself, refusing to interact with anyone. But as long as she does what she's told, very few people seem to have an issue with her silence.
If someone were able to break Sarah out of her shell, they would be pleasantly surprised with the friendly, open, helpful, and understanding girl that they would find behind those protective walls. Sarah is truly a kind person at heart no matter what her closed off exterior seems to suggest.
